Role Description

This role involves contributing to a high-impact collaboration with a leading AI company by generating expert-level, reasoning-based data analysis samples.

• Analyze large structured datasets provided by partner organizations.
• Design reasoning-based analytics questions that require multi-step problem-solving and data interpretation.
• Write and validate SQL queries (using DuckDB, pandas, or Python notebooks) to answer those questions.
• Produce clear, human-readable explanations that articulate analytical reasoning and insights.
• Format deliverables into structured JSON outputs (question, query, answer).
• Ensure consistency and quality through peer collaboration and reviewer feedback.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or a related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python (experience with DuckDB or pandas preferred).
• Strong background in data exploration, statistical reasoning, and business intelligence.
• Experience working with tools like iPython, Jupyter Notebooks, or GitHub.
• Excellent written communication skills — ability to explain complex reasoning clearly.
• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related discipline (Bachelor’s minimum; advanced degree preferred).

• Commitment: 15 hours a week
• Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous

Compensation & Contract

• Competitive hourly rate $100 USD/hour
• Independent contractor position.
• Daily payments via Stripe Connect.
