System Support Engineer - Remote job DevOps / Sysadmin at Gcore

We are over 550 professionals and currently looking for a System Support Engineer to join our internal IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of our internal infrastructure. Your focus will be on ensuring system reliability, performance, and availability, as well as responding efficiently to operational issues across both hardware and software.

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage the deployment and upkeep of internal network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless equipment
• Install, configure, and maintain internal servers and services
• Implement infrastructure changes and improvements
• Plan and execute regular infrastructure maintenance to ensure system health and uptime
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues within the infrastructure at both hardware and software levels

We Expect You to Have:

• Strong understanding of networking concepts, at a level equivalent to CCNA certification
• Hands-on experience with Cisco hardware and Remote Access VPN solutions
• Proficiency in Linux systems administration
• Experience working with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible, Terraform)
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman, Kubernetes)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
• Programming skills in Go or Python
